The Heart Foundation Australia has released a new edition of its advice on the assessment and management of hypertension in adults.

If you’re working on a hypertension pathway, or it’s scheduled for review in your region soon, check out the latest edition which replaces the 2008 guideline (updated 2010).

The 2016 edition describes recent evidence but includes a focus on prevention in both primary and secondary care. In primary care, the guideline places an emphasis on targeting absolute risk.
