Colleagues from the Hunter New England and Central Coast PHN (HNECC) have recently implemented a tool developed by our English NHS partners, the North England Commissioning Support Unit (NECS), to monitor the status of general practice and aged residential care facilities in the region.
The tool is in use throughout England and HNECC is the first Australasian region to adopt and adapt it to their local context. HNECC uses the tool to identify in real time the status of PPE supplies, bed capacity, staffing , residents, and general practice support in the Aged Residential Care facilities across its region. The combination of traffic light and geographic visualisation reporting helps identify emerging problem areas in need of rapid support.
While the functions and application of this tool sit outside the normal scope of HealthPathways, we believe it is something that will be of great interest to members of the HealthPathways Community.
We therefore invited HealthPathways sponsors and programme managers to this webinar about the tool, presented by HNECC and NHS staff, on Wednesday 12 August 2020:
