Between 6-17 June a small team from Streamliners comprising myself, Dr Graham McGeoch, and Juanita Gibson, will be in South Tyneside, North East England to help the locals to get going with HealthPathways.
In recent months we’ve worked closely with the South Tyneside team to plan their HealthPathways and system transformation work programme and establish their team of coordinators and clinical editors.
There are many people across South Tyneside who have made this possible and we extend a warm welcome from the HealthPathways Community to all of them.
In particular I’d like to welcome:
- Dr David Hambleton, Sunderland supporter and Chief Executive of the South Tyneside CCG
- Mark Girvan, HealthPathways Coordinator
- Dr Paul Nellist and Dr Dawn Elliott, the inaugural Clinical Editors
This bridge-head into England is a very exciting development for the HealthPathways Community. It highlights that we’re all collaborating on something that’s recognised internationally as a vital ingredient in health system transformation. We look forward to sharing our southern hemisphere experiences and knowledge with the team from South Tyneside, and to receiving theirs in return.
We also continue to receive enquiries about HealthPathways from many other parts of England and the United Kingdom. So it's probable that within the next two years we will be welcoming a number of other English health jurisdictions to the HealthPathways Community.
